In conversations with naturalists (atheists and evolutionists) I have noticed each individual does one of two things: 1) blindly parade around the fossil record, and offer no evidence for how it is dated and how to explain the Cambrian explosion (of which new evidences in China has surfaced recently); or 2) they avoid mentioning or answering my questions about it like the plague. I have yet to see or hear a sensible explanation which can use the fossil record to sufficiently support their view.
In fact, here is Charles Darwin himself; a quote from The Origin of Species (Chapter 9) on the fossil record:
The number of intermediate varieties, which have formerly existed on earth, must be truly enourmous. Why then is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graded organic chain; and this, perhaps, is the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory.
Darwin needs these intermediate links as they are required in order to support his theory of a common ancestor and variation in heredity. He simply hoped that there was a link in the record… to what would be his dismay, further findings of Cambrian explosion fossils in recent years in China have not been supportive of his claim, seeing that the Cambrian explosion is a geological sudden appearance of most of the major groups of animals (of whose fossils are not found in older rock layers; so their appearance is spontaneous). For the evolutionist, transitional forms/fossils should be found and abundant, and yet there is a lack of such. Which makes it difficult to conclude that all life has one common ancestor, as Darwin supposed. Which means, however, the evolutionist simply takes Darwin’s theory on faith… Also, in the fossil record, particularly in fossils of dinosaurs (specifically the T-Rex), soft tissue has been found… If dinosaurs existed 65 million years ago, as the evolutionist suggests, how does one explain the finding of soft tissue in their fossils… Another scenario which the evolutionist must take Darwin’s theory on faith…
