What Are You Saying?

One of the greatest ways to discern the core message of your life is to answer the following question:

What message am I willing to die for?

Talk about a way to evaluate priorities. What a question. How you answered that question just revealed your priorities, your goal in life, and in essence, your god. What does that say about you? Do you have any one thing you are willing to lay your life down for? Some people are willing to die for their clique or their drug addiction, which say “my group is worth my sacrifice; or my drug is my god.” Others are willing and actually dying for Jesus Christ. All across the world  thousands of Christians are taking their faith so seriously they are being arrested (ex. 185 arrested in Asmara, Eritrea in late October for praying ) and killed for their faith (roughly 160,000 per year as of 2010 according to Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary {login required}). They are saying “Jesus Christ is worthy of my life because I was so unworthy of His.” What you are willing to die for is what you deem most important in life; and that which is most important in your life will influence you and the way you live. It finds its way into conversation and undergirds behavior.

So, what are you saying?
