Two Trees

It was through a tree that all of creation fell into sin, and it was on a tree that the remedy was provided.

Adam by sinful disobedience took of the forbidden tree, and brought about the ruin of all the world and everything in it. (Genesis 3).

Jesus in perfect obedience took upon himself the cursed tree – the cross – and by dying there and being raised to life, He paid the cost of sin and overcame death so that by faith in Him forgiveness and reconciliation with God is made possible. (Galatians 3, Romans 5:12ff).image
